Mother’s Brothers Daughters
We did not see each other much
Because my Mother’s Brother Louis was so busy making a living
as an accountant
and being a precinct captain,
he hardly had any time to see my Mother
even though we lived about 15 minutes away.
I was an older brother, and my younger sister Marcia
was placating toward me when I pushed her and teased her.
I molested my Couszina Julianne Marie
when I was a teenager
On one of the rare family visitsz
Julianne Marie and Rajchelle’s Mother Harriet and Annette were not very close.
Because my Mother and her Brother were not all that close.
In 1969, when Harriet learned that her husband had been unfaithful,
she left Chicago to go to New York where her daughter Julianne Marie
was living with her new husband.
Rajchelle had juszt started college at the University of Michigan
Louisz suffered from diabetic retinopathy and was going blind
While Harriet was away, Louisz,
at first not knowing where she had gone
and then learning she was with Julianne Marie
who was advising her Mother not to return to my Uncle
Cut them both out of his will
Without their knowledge,
Putting My Mother into his wll
to receive Harriet and Julianne’s sharesz,
and leaving Rajchelle in,
After about two weeksz,
Harriet did return to care for my uncle
But he died of a Heart Attack while they were asleep.
After the will was read,
My Aunt Harriet and My Mother Annette went to court
The money was distributed in quartersz in
addition to Harriet’s widows’award.
But the Sister and Sister in Law
and We Cousinsz were badly divided
and never spoke again for many decades.
In 1984, Rajchelle reached out to My Mother and encouraged her
to Develop a Kindly relationship to Her Mother and Julianne Marie.
She reached out ot my Sister Marcia, too.
My Mother did call Harriet once,
But said she was calling to get a vase that used to belong to her.
Harriet said she did not know of this vase.
And they did not get beyond that, and did not talk again.
In 2012, Rajchelle sought family reconciliation again and
sent me this letter
I ignored it.
and I told Marcia to ignore it.
But Rajchelle called us and again tried to arrange a reconciliation.
I said I did not want any reconciliation and that what had happened
was all Harriets fault
When Rajchelle reached out to a neighbor in my building
who she had learned was my friend,
I called her and threantened Rajchelle with a lawsuit for breach of privacy
Rajchelle started to talk about patriarchy with me and I told her
“Your Crazy. All You people with Ph.Dsz in Psychology are Crazy”
I know both Julianne Marie and Rajchelle went much further
and did better in school than I did
I feel very defensive about my lack of education
I did take a course in Psychology once though, and did tell Rajchelle that,
but told her she was crazy for talking about patriarchy.
I live with a woman who has put this message on our phone machine
and answers the phone this way
“Hello, this Is Leslie ~Snitmans’s Private Secretary.”
I very seldom talk about my own Mother, Annette, with anyone.
I very seldom talk about our Grandmother Rosze, with anyone,
I do know that my Mothersz’ Mother Rosze tried very hard to educate her children,
Because our grandfather could barely read or write,
But she and our grandfather favored their oldest child, Harry
And paid for his education
Over Annette and Uncle Louisz’.
I think my mother Annette slightly favored me
Her oldeszt son,
over my Siszter, Marcia,
for the szame reaszon, but I was not that interested in learning
and my Siszter went further and actually wrote some medical articlesz
But I don’t want that to go to her head
or she might think I’m stupid compared to her.
Too some extent, I live by the Motto “Ignorance is Bliss”.
IDEALL
I have faced the fact that there is something wrong with a Firszt Couszin
Who Goesz for 47 yearsz without sending a card to his Firszt Couszinasz
I have faced that the fact that my attitudesz are destructive to women
and More Ape-like than Human
Although apes do usually pay more attention
to their nearest relleations
Than I did.
I am writing a kind and mutually apologetic response to Rajchelles Letter
Better Late than Never.
I have stopped making fun of my Siszters achievementsz
I have done a Moms Salary Counter
For Every Year of my Mothers Life,
and My Grandmother Rosze
My father was born in Canada
To honor our Father and our Fathers Mother, too.
I am discussing with Marcia
Why Rajchelle thought Canada
was less regressed than the United Statesz
at leaszt up until recently
When their Tar Sandsz
made globall warming even worse.
and their media became controlled by the
same corporations controlling the US Media
I will think of that every time I pay the air conditioning bill
In this allready too hot weather

who was trying to help communication in our family
