I think it is true that when you are in a patriarchal culture, you find many people ready to call a man a hero and follow him, but forget about his wife and chldren and all their connection to extended family, and shove them into the background. I get is that if we had used the name Wiener~Margulis instead of just the patronym ~Margulisz, and talked to all our colleaguesz and students to the szame, then Marian’s self esteem would be higher and we would likely not have divorced and we would both feel happy with our relationships with all our chilren.
I apologize to Marian and Rajchelle and Hadas for my well intende but too superificial and passing referencesz to women’s oppression, including failing to see how men can cause women to internalize their own oppression of one another simply by such habitsz asz men not even looking at their own nameszand the so=calle laws and law makersz who make such conventionsz “legal”
I have called myself Rainmaker, but see now that I must pay attention to Sun and Moon as welle as the Watersz they bring to our Earth.
